We take privacy seriously and will only use your personal information in the administration of the services you have requested.
VAGtech Limited will be known as the “Controller” of the personal data you provide us. We only collect the personal data you provide us. This dose include name, contact number, vehicle details, IP address if you have filled in our contact from on the web site. We collect aggregate information on what pages customers access or visit on our web site. We do not share or profit form collecting personal data.
Why we need it
We need to know some basic personal data for us to provide you with our services. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need to provide you with the services you have requested from us.
What we do with it
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK. If you supply us with your email address we will only use it to contact you about goods and services you have enquired about.
If you supply us with your telephone number you will only receive telephone and or text contact from us with information regarding goods and services you have enquired about.
We contact our existing customers via (email, phone, sms) once a year usually just before their service or MOT is due to remind them.
Security: We always use industry-standard technologies by recognized suppliers who are GDPR compliant (Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, Checkpoint etc). We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you. We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.
How long we keep it
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
